Discussing figures provided by a recent Lloyds Bank Report the Independent have today reported that the top reason for selling a house is downsizing.

The report found that around 1/2 of the home owners planning to sell in the next few years are doing so to downsize, and further that 43% of those looking to downsize were doing so to reduce living costs, with 1/3 looking to fund retirement plans.
